Well this is certainly frightening to read. Google wants to use it’s knowledge vault to verify the factual content of a website page and have that factor of validity effect the pages ranking. The obvious flaw is the integrity of the knowledge vaults information, can the information be manipulated to support Google’s evident ideology? Look at the polar opposite opinions about Global Warming that are out there in the respected scientific community. Could a “green” driven Google management suppress web pages that did not support global warming alarmist opinion?
Maybe I’m over reacting but this just seems like a terrible idea, let the internet market (links) decide who’s number one and develop more ways to identify and moderate the linking schemes and link fraud that is out there.
